Healing Heart Ranch has a large variety of horses to suit most needs. Browse through the horses below and get aquainted with our amazing family.

Teddie

Teddie

Teddie is a 17 year old Percheron who came to us in 2009. He was given to our program by Carol and Mark Downing who own Clyde N' Dale. Teddie worked at the Downing's Christmas tree farm on Delphi pulling a trolly with Christmas trees. Many kids who visit Healing Hearts Ranch recognize Teddie from his days at Clyde N' Dales. His name fits him appropriately because he is just like a big teddy bear. He welcomes and returns big hugs.

Jessy

Jessy is an 14 year old Chestnut Paint with a white heart on her withers. She came to us through Stephanie Konopaski, from Jeff and Jenny Konopaski. She is kind and caring, and loves her work as a lesson and therapy horse. Her trot is smooth and makes the rider feel as if they are floating. Jessy welcomes huggs and kisses from her riders as a thank you.

Joey

Joey

Joey, a 7 year old Paint, is the youngest of the heard. He is very interactive and playful. He has a rocking horse canter and aims to please his rider. He loves attention, especially from a group of girls. If you turn your back you may just get an affectionate nuzzel from him, because he loves to be the center of attention. Joey's favorite reward for a job well done is a good long scratch on his chest.

Tilly

Tilly is a striking 18 year old Half Arab Pinto. She came to us from Doug and Marie Stickney. She is extreamly sensitive and patient with her riders. She forms special bonds with individuals with autism. She loves to take her time while being groomed and tacked. She works well with a wide variety of riders from beggining to advanced.

Remy

Remy

Remy is a 10 year old Solid Bred Paint. She is increadibly sensitive and in tune with her handler. We use her for liberty work and in the round pen where she is excellent at teaching her handler what their body language is communicating. Despite her sensitivity, she is extremely level headed and smart. She can carry a broad array of riders, from the physically challenged to the advanced level. Remy has appeared in the Olympia Pet Parade. Despite the outlandish costumes her humans concocted, she carried it off with grace and charm.

Shieba

Shieba is a 24 year old Pony of the Americas (POA). She is great with kids of all ages. Her small size and color are welcoming to hesitant riders. She loves dressing up. You may have seen her at the Pet Perade decorated with pastels like a "My Little Pony". Shieba enjoys the grooming and has been known to fall asleep while being brushed.

Avesta

Avesta

Avesta is a 26 year old Arabian. He came to us from Tony and Kathy McNamara. He was their daughter Kaitlyn's first Pony Club horse. Despite his age, he is young at heart. He is first at the gate to go to work. He has a very animated walk, trot and canter, which is perfect for individuals with autism. He is also a great lesson horse, and loves to teach new riders the posting trot.

Snickers

Snickers is a 13 year old, pinto colored Shetland Pony. Snickers previously was a lesson pony for a tiny tot riding program. He is 11 hands high which is perfect for our 3 to 5 year old riders. He also lunges at liberty in the round pen like a dream and is rock solid for trail riding. He is great for teaching horsemanship and riding to our youngest partisipants. His small size is comforting to hesitant therapeutic riders who have never been close to a horse before.
